Satirical Papyrus
Ancient Egyptian papyrus depicting a satirical scene of animals in human-like actions. On the left a gazelle is playing board game (presumably the ‘Senet’) with a lion. In the middle of this papyrus, there are a group of caprids (goats/antelopes?) being herded by a pair of canids (fox & hyena), which are their natural predators. Similarly, next to that, a wild cat is herding a group of geese. On the far right, a lion is playing with another animal in bed.
